BECOME A DINO
How To Be Identified
Do you want a high performance training experience?
Do you have aspirations to play post-secondary volleyball?
The Dinos Club is built on quality and we take pride in offering the best training experience in Calgary. This training leads to exceptionally prepared athletes who move on to successful post-secondary careers.
There are various ways for athletes to be identified and considered for a Dinos team. The most important thing for an athlete to do, is be proactive. If you want to be a Dino, take the first step and contact us.
1) Dinos Player Application Form
We encourage all athletes interested in joining the Dinos Club to complete and submit a Player Application Form. This form helps Dinos Coaches identify possible athletes for the upcoming season. A player or parent may also contact the Dinos Club at anytime if they require more information about our elite women's volleyball programs. Please be aware that this program is for junior high and high school athletes who are ready to commit themselves today for what it will take to achieve a college/university position.
If you are interested in joining the Dinos Club, please complete our DINOS PLAYER APPLICATION FORM
Send an email to dinosdirector@gmail.com
There will be Dino Club coaches present at all of the camps in the months of June-August. They will be watching for skilled volleyball players who have the potential to play for a Dino Club team.
3) ID Sessions - **ID SESSIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION - See Homepage**
Starting June 1st the Dinos Club hosts ID sessions where athletes can visit our training facility, meet the coaches, see how practices are run and ask questions about the club programs. This is particularly important for athletes in the 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U division as offers can be given to athletes in these age divisions at "Early Signing" (this date changes based on the Volleyball Alberta Recruiting Policies)
Every year, the Dino Women's Volleyball Club and the University of Calgary host a High Performance camp in August called Future Stars. Sessions are run by Dinos Club Coaches and University of Calgary Varsity Athletes. Sessions concentrate on position specific skills for setters, middles and outside hitters, as well as team systems.
You can find out more information at DINOS FUTURE STARS.
5) Tryouts
Always refer to the homepage for the most up to date information and to register. Tryouts for our our teams will be taking place on Sundays starting in September. Information can be found below and the registration link will be posted on the homepage.
Recruitment & Tryout Process

We always want to make sure that athletes choose a club that is a great fit for them. To ensure they have made the best decision for the coming year, we encourage athletes to explore multiple opportunities prior to signing with a club. Only by signing the Volleyball Alberta Letter of Intent (LOI) on or after the Signing Dates, is an athlete officially committed to a club team.
